· On my Samsung S26 the Roon App hangs after a first use. So when installed, it connects and works properly. The second or third time it just shows the song playing (with correct progress), sometimes the playlist (but I can not click on songs or anything) and no library songs are show (I can navigate to that). The Roon App works correct from my tablet (which I now use). Removing the App from my S26 and installing it again fixes the issue, the the 2nd or 3rd time I use the phone as the remote, it gives the same issue. The problem only exists using the roon on WiFi, which I prefer. Hope you can help.

· They are both on WiFi on the modem provided by my ISP. I use Roon on Grimm Mu1. If wired the app runs normal, problem only exists when MU1/roon is connected on WiFi, and only on S26. On the tablet things are fine, as they are on first use on the S26. Strange...
Thank you for your post. We’re sorry to hear you’re encountering these issues.
We’ll need to request a little more information in order to assist development with pinning this down.
Do you see your library on another Roon Remote when Roon on the phone is in this condition? We need to ascertain whether the server itself is in a state where it’s not communicating with any remotes, or whether this particular Roon GUI is hanging. You mentioned your tablet works fine; does it work fine when Roon on the S26 is frozen or showing no library content?
When the app encounters these problems, are you restoring it from the background, or re-opening it completely on the phone (as in, did you close the Roon app completely between uses)?
Do you have a desktop or laptop in this setup, by chance (Windows/MacOS)? If so, we’d like to request some system-level logging from Android so we can illuminate what Roon is communicating to the OS during these incidents. You’ll need to connect the phone to the computer via USB for this step.
No problem, if not.
If you are willing and able to supply this logging, then at your convenience, please take the following steps:
First, connect a computer to Android phone and install ADB (instructions are here (all platforms)). Then:
Yes, the tablet works fine, even if the S26 hangs. It is an issue on the s26 Android, when the Roon server is connected via WiFi Dongle (TP-Link), which is powered by the MU1 and connected with a cable (from Mu1 to dongle). Connecting MU1/Roon via wired internet works correctly on all remotes.
Restoring, or closing and re-opening the app doesn’t make a difference. Either way it does not work. Deleting the app entirely and installing it again fixes the issue. But only for 1 or 2 times.
I will try and figure out how to log it. But I thought I would give you these answers directly.
Thanks for the extra detail. It helps confirm that the tablet stays fine even while the S26 is hanging, and that the issue is specific to the S26 Android app when Roon is connected over WiFi, while wired operation works normally across all remotes.
We’ll be standing by for a log when you’re able to capture one. If you run into any difficulties or have questions while doing that, please let us know.
