· My Samsung Galaxy tablet updated it’s OS and when it finished the ROON APP was disabled. On reboot, the APP was GONE! Tried to reinstall it from Play Store and it completes to 99% but won’t finish install regardless of how many times I CANCEL the install and retry....it always goes back to the 99% Install and locks.
I had a similar issue on my Android cell phone but eventually it completed. That had something to do with accepting ROON Notifications.
Tried LEGACY APP and it does the same thing. I was told that you have to ACCEPT ROON NOTIFICATIONS in order to get the install to work. I’ll try setting that before I attempt again. Still not working after 4 days. REPEAT: The tablet did an OI update, then disabled the app...then it was removed....all by itself. Since its no longer there, no way to preauthorize Notifications

Thanks for the detailed write-up, that really helps. The good news is this is almost certainly a Google Play Store issue rather than anything wrong with Roon, and your Roon Server and library aren’t affected at all. We just need to get the app reinstalled on the tablet.
One thing to clear up first: accepting Roon notifications isn’t what makes the install complete. On your phone it most likely finished for one of the reasons below and the timing just lined up. An install that reaches 99% and then hangs is a classic Play Store problem, usually triggered by a system update like the one you had.
Here are the steps to try, in order:
Clear the Play Store and Play Services caches. Go to Settings → Apps → Google Play Store → Storage → tap Clear cache, then Clear data. Do the same for Google Play Services. Then reboot the tablet and try the install again.
Check your free storage. A stall right at 99% often means there isn't enough room to finish writing the app. Make sure you have at least a couple of GB free.
Check date and time. Set both to Automatic. An incorrect clock can block the Play Store from validating the download and cause it to hang.
Remove and re-add your Google account. Settings → Accounts → remove the Google account, reboot, then add it back and try installing. This clears a stuck download state and is the most common fix after an OS update.
If the Play Store still won't finish, install the app directly. You can download the Roon Android app straight from our website and install it without the Play Store. You'll need to allow installs from your browser or file manager when prompted. Let me know if you'd like the direct link and I'll walk you through it.
Give those a try and let me know how far you get, happy to keep working through it with you. 👍
Did a Tablet (Backup) RESTORE frrom May… Opened ROON APP without issue…The ONE UI on tablet updated and it’s fine on old APP.
Then I turned ON ROON NOTIFICATIONS just to be safe… Also turned ON Playstore and Chrome NOTIFICATIONS…then went to App store and clicked ROON Update and it took! So something tech-y going on.
