Hi @kthammar,
Welcome to the Roon community! Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. It sounds like you are stuck in what we refer to as a login loop. This is often caused by a pop-up blocker on your web browser. There are 2 ways you can handle this.

  1. Use a different browser to log into Roon.
  2. Add Roon as an exception to your pop-up blocker on your default browser.

Please let us know if you need any further help with this. We’ll be standing by to help!

Hi Daniel.

Thank you for your support. I have changed from Chrom to Microsoft Edge but it is not working as well. (Both Browsers have been set up the exception to the pop-up blocker. and Avast Secruity and Windows Security also diable during the sign in)

Can I use my andriod laptop or my phone as the server instead of my PC ?

Thank you and best regards,
TK

Hi @kthammar,
A laptop might be able to run RoonServer though it depends on its specs. However I think we still will be able to get your windows laptop to log into your server. Here are a couple of things you can try.

  1. Connect your windows computer to your router via ethernet cable.
  2. We have seen users have a better experience in the past if they change their Router’s DNS servers from the ISP provided ones to Cloudflare DNS, Quad9 or Google DNS. Can you please give this a try and let me know if it helps?

If you are still having trouble after that can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

Hello Daniel.

As your recommendation, I haved use the ethernet cable and use the Google DNS (Free trial)
But they are not working also.

Then I try to findout other AV forum in Thailand and found someone had the same issue as me.
One solution that they use is to downgrade to be Version 1.8 or uninstall the new verion and install the 1.8 version instead.

And it is now working for me.

Thank you for your help and support.
(in the future I might upgrade the version again.)
Best Regards,
TK

Hello @kthammar ,

Glad to hear you’ve been able to get the login working with Roon 1.8. Please note that Roon 1.8 is no longer under active development, so should you have any issues or bugs, you will need to upgrade back to the latest version of Roon for us to be able to assist.

As a note, you don’t need to login to Roon with the device running Roon Server, you can also login using a Roon Remote (Android PC, iPhone, Android phone, Tablet, etc.), mentioning this in case you wish to upgrade back in the future.

I’ll go ahead and mark this one as solved, thanks again for reaching out and hope you enjoy Roon!
