Roon app not connecting to local Roon Server after reinstall (ref#6HSLPA)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· Can’t reach my Server, remotes or ARC

Can’t connect to my Server, remotes or ARC

· Other ARC issues

· Roon was not working. I uninstalled and reinstalled it. It now says that it can't connect to my "Roon Server"...but my Roon Server is the same as the computer on which I've downloaded the app. So I'm just stuck in this endless loop...

Diagnostics indicate that your Roon Server is currently online, but the remote (Roon itself) hasn’t been seen for a few hours. If you’re still having this issue, here are a few suggestions:

  1. ensure that RoonServer.exe and Roon.exe are still on the list of permitted processes in the Microsoft Defender firewall

  2. double-check that Roon/RoonServer have been added to the list of startup applications for your PC.

  3. if you use any anti-virus software, try adding Roon to the safelist (Norton, McAfee, etc).
