· I am the owner of an AVR Marantz Cinema 50 and an Oppo UDP 203. According to the information on your website and the Marantz website, this device supports Roon Ready technology. However, when I launch the ROON app on my Mac, the AVR Marantz Cinema 50 is not detected by the ROON app. However, the ROON app recognizes and works with my Oppo UDP 203 player. I would appreciate your advice on how to resolve this issue.
Thank you for reaching out! The Marantz Cinema 50 is indeed a compatible device, and we should be able to get it up and running quickly.
Often, new devices are detected by Roon but remain “hidden” until they are manually enabled in the settings.
Could you please try the following?
Open Roon on your Mac and go to Settings > Audio.
Look through the list of detected devices. You should see the Marantz listed there
If you see it, click the Enable button next to it and give the zone a name.
Next Step: If you do not see the Marantz listed in that menu at all, could you please send us a screenshot of your Settings > Audio screen? This will help us see exactly what Roon is (or isn’t) detecting on your network.
Also, please ensure that the “Network Control” setting is turned ON in your Marantz AVR menu, as this allows the device to stay visible on the network for Roon to find it.
