Hello @simongalaxy,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support.

It sounds like the login process is getting stuck during the browser redirect. Please try the following workaround:

  1. In the Roon app, click Log In – this will redirect you to the login page in your browser.
  2. Right after the redirect happens (as soon as the browser opens and the URL loads), copy the full URL from the address bar.
  3. Paste that URL into a different browser (for example, if you're using Safari, try Chrome) and complete the login process there.
This often helps bypass any issues related to pop-up blockers or browser settings interfering with the login.

Hi @simongalaxy,

We didn’t see a response on this thread so we wanted to reach back out. Are you still having issues with the URL redirect after trying the steps above? This thread will close automatically without a response from the OP in a few days, so we want to ensure you don’t require further assistance here. Thanks!

hi @Connor ,

Thx for your reply.
The issue was resolved but not with the provided method.

I was using Mac as my Roon core before. While I’d got the issue, I was switching to Roon Nucleus One. I selected Roon Nucleus One and tried to login my account. It could not redirect as described before. Then I tried to login with my core on Mac, the redirect failed again.

As I login with my mobile Roon app a few days before I bought a Nucleus, I tried to login with my mobile. This time I chose to login Mac core instead of Nucleus. It was success. Then I tried to login Nucleus in mobile app. It failed.

At the meanwhile, I don’t know rather it was related. I tried to login Mac core in MacBook again. It was success. As per mentioned, I was having a new Nucleus One. Therefore, I backup the Roon core on Mac and tried to migrate to Nucleus One, but failed to login with browser redirect again.

With some clicking around in Roon app on Mac, I found an error message (sorry I forgot which screen I got this) about “A single core was allowed in your account only. You may need to purchase additional one to setup a new core”. I clicked around and then found a page to “Unauthenticated” my Mac Roon core. I clicked the button to remove the one in MacBook. However, the migration backup still was not work, but I found that I was able to login the new Nucleus One with my Roon account. However, as this was not a migration login, I lost the edit information in my database in Roon core. Even there is a huge work to do to restore the database with manual input, I’m happy that I can finally so-called “migrate” to Nucleus One.

In conclusion, seems the issue was because of lack of information in the login screen that I had an active core which blocked the login in my new Nucleus One. It would be better to have some error message in the app. This could help user having a direction to troubleshoot. Thanks!
