· After a recent update my QNAP NS stopped starting ROON. When I look in the QNAP NS server it is functional and on-line but the ROON app says STOPPED and when I restart it, the app immediately reverts to STOPPED. An on-line search said this is a known issues. When is an update for the ROON app on QNAP NS going to be released so ROON can start working again. At this point I am paying for a non-functional ROON subscription service. My music is all intact and playable using other software.

The Roon Server package no longer works, please switch to the official Docker image to run Roon Server on your NAS. See also:

Hi @Fred_Geisler,

Thanks for the details. What you are seeing with the QNAP package is consistent with the current state of that installer, and the supported path now is to run Roon Server through Docker on QNAP instead of the standalone package. The setup guide here covers the full process: Installing RoonServer on QNAP with Docker.

Please check whether your QNAP model is running Container Station and whether you can move the existing Roon Server data over to the Docker-based installation.

Once you have tried the Docker install, let us know what happens and we will take it from there.
