Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· Ok , so apparently , without notice , you made a software change so that the Roon App in my QNAP server is shown as " Stopped" and can not be restarted . Beyond annoying . How to fix .

Tell us about your home network

· Really nothing requested matters . It is just v2.66 can no longer run in QNAP.

The Roon Server package no longer works, please switch to the official Docker image to run Roon Server on your NAS. See also:

You can use the forum search to find answers to questions that arise when switching to the Docker installation as already some time has passed since the change so most of the questions have already been asked and answered since then.

Hi @john_gish,

The QNAP package for Roon Server is no longer supported, so the package showing as stopped is expected. The supported path on QNAP now is to run Roon Server through Docker using Container Station, and the setup steps are laid out here: Installing RoonServer on QNAP with Docker.

If you have not already moved over, I’d start there and install the official Docker image rather than trying to restart the old package. If you want, tell us your QNAP model and whether Container Station is already installed, and we can help you line up the next step.

Thanks, and let us know how it goes.

Hi @john_gish,

Wanted to follow up on this. Have you had a chance to move off the old QNAP package and try the Docker setup in Installing RoonServer on QNAP with Docker? If you can, send us your QNAP model and whether Container Station is already installed, and we can help with the next step. Thanks, and let us know how it goes.
