Roon App shows different volume level from that on my Moon 891 preamp

Hi there,

I recently upgraded my preamp from Simaudio Moon 791 to Moon 891. Since then, my Roon app has displayed a volume level of some points higher than that on my Moon 891 preamp. The more Í turn the volume on, the bigger the difference is.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Could you please share a few screenshots that illustrate the issue you’re experiencing? This will help us better understand what’s happening.

Additionally, please confirm that your Moon 891 is running the latest firmware.

When possible, reproduce the issue once more and let us know the exact timestamp when you attempted to adjust the volume in Roon. This will allow us to review the related diagnostic logs.

Thank you for the update.

From this screenshot, we see that you are using AirPlay instead of the RAAT. Have you tried the same with the Roon Ready mode enabled?

I hadn’t noticed it. I have always used RAAT. Surely that solves the problem. Right now I can’t review it, but as soon as I do, I’ll let you know the result. Thanks a lot.
