· The Roon app won't open after reinstalling after connectivity problems (none of the audio sources appeared to be available). I deleted and reinstalled the Roon app on my Mac (where Roon lives) and I've turned my Nucleus off and back on. Both the Mac and Nucleus are on a hardwired LAN. Both have IP addresses and appear as "wired" on my router's webpage.
When reinstalling the app, I get to the step where the Roon app "sees" the Nucleus but when clicking "next", the app seems to stall. All I see is the Roon icon wriggling. I've closed the app, restarted my Nucleus and repeated the above 3X, so I can use some help! Thanks!!!

· I'm using two TP Link BE800 router's, with the 2nd one in bridge mode. There are two new switches between the main router and the Nucleus. (An Asus QG U1080 and a Linksys SE3008.) I've replaced the 5e patch cable with a new Cat 6 cable and tested it. Download speeds are 961 Mps per SpeedTest app. There's no VPN.
First, could you please confirm whether you’re able to connect to your Nucleus from any other device (for example, an iPhone, iPad, or another computer)?
This will help us determine whether the issue is isolated to the Mac or affects the server more broadly.
If Roon is accessible from other devices, please try the following on the Mac only:
No luck connecting from other devices. Prior to communicating with you, I deleted and attempted to reinstall a fresh copy of Roon. Renaming the files as suggested followed by reinstalling Roon didn’t resolve the issue. Specifically, when I click on “connect” from the screen, “Connect to your Roon Server”, I get to the Roon icon that wriggles but no further.
My Mac where Roon lives (or lived) is a Mac Studio running Sequoia 15.6.1. Other devices used to connect include a couple iPads and an iPhone. None are able to connect. My LAN wired network includes a fairly new TP Link BE800 and two new switches. My iMac is able to connects to the internet via the same Cat 6 patch cable normally plugged into the Nucleus. Download speeds from this cable test out from 900 to 1,300 Mbps. When I log into my router, I can see the Nucleus as one of many clients. Other devices (TV, receiver, etc.) connected to this same 8-port switch work fine except for a Naim ND5 XS2 streamer normally used with Roon.
I’m OK doing a clean install and rebuilding everything from scratch if that’s what it takes. Suggestions for next steps will be appreciated!
Haven’t tried reinstalling the Roon OS, so here’s the screenshot you asked for. I’ve tried again to reinstall the Roon OS by first renaming the files you identified by adding “_old”. Then, I’ve downloaded the file from your website. When I get to the screen titled, “Connect to your Roon Server”, I’m clicking on the option “connect” for the Nucleus—and not the option to set up a Roon Server on this Mac. After selecting “connect”, I get a white screen with the black Roon logo vibrating, like something is happening but nothing does. Let me know what next steps I should try. Thanks!
Thanks for all your patience and troubleshooting so far! From a fresh Nucleus diagnostic report, we unfortunately found traces of database corruption, which is likely causing you your issues.
Do you have a saved backup that predates the issues you’re having? If so, this will likely be the easiest and best next step - restore from this saved backup. Here’s more info on this:
Roon checksums the entire content of the database during indexing to look for unexpected changes that might have started to accumulate. Your logs show corruption warnings, which means the database no longer reads back as RoonServer expects.
You’ll need to restore from your earliest available Backup to try to rebuild the database from a snapshot that precedes the corruption event. Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to keep the corruption contained once it’s begun to accumulate.
Thanks for your help. After rebooting and restoring my Nucleus from my oldest backup, it is working again. Your help with all of this is much appreciated and you can close this support ticket.
