How can we help?

· I'm having trouble adding music to my library

Describe the issue

I use my ipad to control roon by my home wifi and have determined Roon Uses 8.19 GB and is BY FAR the largest app on my 32G iPad to the point that I CANNOT download the most recent Apple Software update! Why is your app so large on my iPad? Can I delete and reinstall? I also find your Support to be POOR! I have been a Roon Customer for years now. Too many glitches on adding music. I need to have an actual Conversation with your customer service humans to address my Many concerns. I can be reached at [moderated: private phone number removed].

Describe your network setup

Orbi Nest System , Direct ethernet cable from DAC to PC Desktop where roon core is installed , Google Fiber(1G) Router,

This forum is where Roon provides customer support. You can delete Roon from your iPad and do the updates. Then reinstall Roon. Or, you could delete some other apps. I have this issue with an iPad Gen 8 I use that has only 32gb. I might update to a Gen 10.

Hello @John_Welker ,

Thank you for your message and sorry to hear about the trouble. We do not offer phone support but we would be more than happy to assist you here on the forum.

Yes, you can most certainly uninstall and reinstall the Roon app from you iPad to lessen the footprint. If you can open the Roon app before you reinstall it, I’ve enabled diagnostics mode for it, and by opening it, it will also deliver a log set to our servers for review.

We’ll look over the log to see if anything is amiss, but it’s possible that it was caching data which takes space (images, metadata). Please let us of any updates when possible, thanks!
