Describe your network setup

I use fiber from Monsternett in Halden. TP link modem. It works perfectly as I still have internet connection

None of the links below are relevant. I just want to use my Roon that has worked well for many years, however after the software update earlier this morning I’m not able to use Roon anymore

Hello @sommerfil,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon support.

I’ve enabled diagnostics on your account so our technical team can gather more insight into what’s happening. Based on the logs, it appears that your Nucleus is currently up and running.

Could you kindly provide more details and share a screenshot showing where you’re seeing the update symbols?

Kind regards,
Vadim

Hi Vadim. I sent a screenshot via Gmail and it came in return as an unknown address. Did you receive it? Per Filip Sommerstedt

Hi @sommerfil,
It would be easier if you could share the screenshot here on community. An unknown address response means it wasn’t delivered. You can easily upload the screenshot to community using this button.

Let us know if you have any trouble with doing that or wish us to convert this to a private message before uploading the screenshot.

Hi
Did you get my answer? This has been a frustrating day as I have tried for almost 10 hours to connect to Roon. I also noticed that I can’t see any new Qobuz albums and in addition, Roon is not able to connect to my Steinway Audio system. When and how will you be able to help finding a solution in order for me to enjoy streaming my easter music. Kind regards Per Filip Sommerstedet

Hey @sommerfil,

Thanks for the screenshot! It looks like you’re able to connect and navigate around Roon based on what you’ve shared - are you still having issues connecting to your Nucleus?

It looks like youre running Roon remote on your Mac, lets see if refreshing your Roon (not Roon Server) database may help:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

If you head to Roon Settings > Services > Qobuz >Sync Library Now, do you still any newer albums? If you haven’t yet, I’d also stop Roon Server from running safely, then reboot your Nucleus as well as your router, and see if your issues persist. :+1:

Hi Benjamin. I’ve tried to do a Backup. Further I have made a subscription with Dropbox. However I can’t get into to the ROON Dashobard. As I understand you won’t offer any help on weekends. Therefore I will be thankful if it would be possible to delete the present Roon version and just have a fresh start during today. I do not mind if I loose stored favorites. I prefer to have a Roon that works. Are you able t help me today? I hope so aa I think it not fair that have to be without Roon for 4-6 days. Pls. send me an easy step by step, in simple and understandable language, so I can enjoy my music asap.
Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Hi @sommerfil ,

If you are able to access the Nucleus Web UI, you can perform a database + settings reset from the options there:

Since you are able to access the Nucleus according to your screenshot, you should be able to access the Web Interface by navigating to the IP address of the Nucleus in a web browser: 192.168.10.114

HI
I followed your instruction, but is does not allow me to enter the Roon dashboard. I’m also not find any option for Audio settings. I therefore, after hours of work and not being able to use Roon as before the latest update took place yesterday morning, think its time to delete this version of let me have a new and fresh version. I simply dont have the skills necessary to navigate and understand how things are interconnected, What’s your proposals in order for me use Roon as I had since 2017?

Finally- it worked. Thanks for your help. I just had to close the Roon version I had om my MacPro
