Roon app unable to detect new Cambridge EVO 150 SE (ref#MB732D)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· Purchased new Cambridge EVO 150 SE and Roon app not able to find it. Roon was working on my previous setup. Firewall off, restarting router didn’t help. Worried that that account is corrupted?
The EVO 150 can stream Qobuz so internet part seems ok
??

Tell us about your home network

· Internet through COX at an apartment. Seems piecemeal to me: modem? says Cox, Century Link model C424G router?

Hey @Dennis_Dunlap,

Thanks for the details and for sharing the photo of your network gear.

We checked our records, and the Cambridge EVO 150 SE is not a Roon Ready device, so it cannot connect natively to Roon over the network.

Could you please clarify how the EVO 150 SE is connected to your Roon Server?

Once we have that detail, we can work from there.

Thanks.

Hmm, it claims to be fully Roon Ready?

The Roon app can’t find when searching though.

Would having a Roon Nucleus box solve the problem?

How would a core hook up to the Cambridge EVO 150 SE?

Good news. I finally was able to select the Cambridge EVO 150 SE after unauthorizing a previous account with a different streamer.

I would like to know if there is a way to get all the playlist I have made since using Roon, I only see about 1/2 of them.

Thanks

@Dennis_Dunlap,

I’d like to apologize for the misinformation provided in my earlier post.

Your DAC is actually a Roon Ready device, and we’re glad to hear it’s finally working for you.

Regarding the issue with your playlists:

  • Could you please clarify the origin of the missing playlists? Are they local imported playlists or ones from Qobuz?
  • When did you lose these playlists? Did this happen after a backup restoration?
  • If the problem occurred after restoring from a backup, please let us know if the missing playlists were included in that specific backup.

Thanks, and we look forward to your reply.

The playlists I see in the Roon app are the same ones I see when I log into the Qobuz app. The playlists that are missing I made in the Roon app (over several years) and previously were showing on my previous set up but now not there with the new Cambridge all-in-one amplifier/streamer.

Hey @Dennis_Dunlap,

Thanks for the update! To confirm, have you recently restored one of your saved Roon backups after migrating to your new setup?

This will be necessary in order to access your saved Roon playlists. Here’s more information:
