We’ll need just a little more information to take action on this thread but we’re eager to help.
Our diagnostics servers show you might be using tablets and/or mobile devices as your primary Roon Remotes. If you have a recent version of iOS, try ensuring that Roon has local network access in your privacy settings on that tablet or phone.
Additionally, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the “i” info button next to the network, and select Fixed under the Private Wi-Fi Address option. This will prevent Roon from having to rediscover the iPad as a new device each time you open the app.
We also recommend double-checking that your router hasn’t inadvertently configured a second subnetwork for your Nucleus. Here’s a quick guide:

What happened is that I got a new nucleus titan to replace my nucleus +. The app was paired with the +. I disconnected the + as apparently you can’t have 2 connected. After that, the app was recognizing the Titan but refusing to pair with it (roon logo spinning endlessly). After waiting long enough and trying again later, the connection was accepted. This may have had something to do with updating my roon account on your end. Not sure.
Now the other problem I have is that my hard drive/library was transferred to the Titan and at least 50 albums have defaulted to “CD rip” without being recognized by the roon metadata (mismatch in file number or length because the library doesn’t have all editions of the albums). I hope this can be fixed but I’m afraid I am in for a manual entry (again) which is pretty cumbersome. This said, pls let me know if you have a tip for this.
Glad to hear the connectivity issue is resolved. For the CD rip metadata issue, could you please share some screenshots? If you try identifying the album through Roon, does that help?
I just have the grey icon with “CD Rip” and “date”. I believe I entered all that data back when I ripped my CDs. Now it is reset to “CD RIP”. Yes I an identify some CDs with roon but there is a lot of mismatch (right album but track mismatch), and some CDs are just nit identified. In the end I would prefer not to have to reenter everything if possible, but it seems the metadata were lost when the drive was transferrred from my nucleus + to my titan
Did you rip them through Roon? If so, when Roon rips a CD it does not put the metadata in the actual files just labels the folder the date ripped and the music files: file 1, file 2, etc.
So, if you’ve lost the original database and Roon cannot re-identify them (I’ve had several over the years where Roon could not re-identify them in this state), it can be a pain as you will have to listen to the album and manually re-enter the metadata. At that point, I’d advise editing the actual files with the metadata using a utility like MP3 tag.
You are much better off ripping on a computer with dbPoweramp, getting the metadata right and THEN copying the album to the Roon watched folder. That is what I do.
