Description Of Issue
With the 1.8 update the Roon app on my PC with Windows 10 Home, Version 20H2, OS build 19042.804 no longer works. It flashes a white box with Roon written at the top and a big red X through it for a few seconds and then disappears. My iPad and laptop with Windows 10 Home, Version 2004, OS build 19041.746 both work.
I strongly suspect that the Version 20H2 does not like Roon but I have tried to change it to plain Windows 10 Home but without success.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Roon but no difference.
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your continued help. For what may be a lost cause. I will give you all my data to be safe:

It would probably be called an obsolete PC but it meets my needs for a desktop and it would be nice to contol my roon from there as well as my iPad, cell and laptops.
Hmm, it looks like the product stopped producing drivers at Win 8. I noticed that you are using Win 10. This means you either have to use what Windows gives you or try downloading the drivers from Intel themselves.
First, I would go to this site to verify exactly what Intel graphics are being used
I still think you should double check using the above site, but, this does seem to be drivers for the Integrated drivers for that Intel CPU.
Hi Daniel,
Thank you again! I hope this comes across as positive as I intend. I really appreciate your effort and your advice that has helped me confirm that I was on the right track with my actions and conclusion. This is a dead horse and I would feel bad to have you continue to spend any more time on the impossible.
I had done what you suggested and both failed. I went even further and contacted both Intel and HP and was informed that I have the latest that I can get on my set up.
I have an old computer that I managed to squeek in under the deadline to get Windows 10 on, but both HP and Intel have stopped supporting this PC. So it is reasonable that Roon 1.8 has joined the party to no longer support this video card. It’s too bad for me that 1.7 was so nice for this work station, but I accept that it is time for a Covid acceptable funeral. I will just have to get up and go to one of my newer gizmos to control Roon, And one day buy a new PC.
