Reinstall the Roon app on your control device, ie, iPhone, iPad, etc.
That’s the problem How to reinstall Roon application. I can’t find it in my apps. Qobuz and audirvana no problem, but where is the app for Roon gone to?
Did you go to the app store for your device? What Roon control device are you using?
You mean NUCLEUS? Well Nucleus
Gommie
No, the device you use to talk to your Nucleus.
Thanks for your Reply.I really appreciate.!!! I have a macmini to stream, but roon app is not there. I have checked all places that might contain apps etc… Again, Qobuz yes, Audirvana Yes, VLC, Yes but no Roon.
Hi @Gommie,
We can still see a Mac Mini with the latest Roon build installed in diagnostics associated with your account.
Do you see Roon running in the Activity Monitor tool on that Mac? Activity Monitor is in Applications → Utilities.
You can also navigate to your Roon Database Location and see if there is still a folder there named Roon
.
If you delete the Roon folder above and install Roon directly from our downloads page, it won’t disrupt your RoonServer or library at all, and will re-generate a DMG download folder containing Roon. You can then drag and drop the Roon application onto your desktop or your Applications folder as preferred.
Let us know if this helps.
Thanks again. There is no “GO” on top of (my) FINDER. I found lots of roon connected things, but they don’t React. Can’t you please send me a new ROON APPLICATION?
You mustn’t forget you are doing these things daily. For me it is all new and terrifying
First I can’t understand what I did wrong.
I find so many things about Roon etc. but no roon App. I am in a wood full of trees but I can’t find the correct tree. I was a teacher once and I know how easily one forgets that logical things are not logical for a lay–man( —child)
I don’t have a clue, and most logical for me is “Sending me a new app” But I am wrong there, I suppose??
Anyway thanks a lot for what you did for me and let’s hope for the best.
Gommie
Dear Mr Miss MRS Connor,
Thank you for your help.
I worked on this yesterday and today for hours and I must tell you I am frustated.
I can’t find what you tell me I should find.
If you are so convinced of what you mail me, why don’t you do this for me. You see you found my Roon connected. ( I have no idea} . You tell me what to do (I have no idea) Why don’t you just work on it from there, from your office or wherever. We (YOU and I) would have lost no time would not be annoyed, would both be happy.
Please send me a new roon app for my desktop. That seems the only thing missing here. You know what to do whereas I have no clue (Sounds like a song or a slogan)
I must have been one of your first customers in this regio or even in this country (The Netherlands) So I am easy to check out.
Yours,
Gommie
Connor,
Jubilations!!!
My Roon has returned.
Was it a miracle or did you find a way to install it?
Anyway, thank you very much for your patience. and thanks to all the others that have cooperated to make me happy.
I’ll now restart and see if roon will be back. If not, I will be back…

Mac mini and Nucleus
Please don’t post duplicate support requests. It won’t get your issue addressed any quicker and hampers the Support team.
I’ve merged (one of ) your duplicates into the existing Support thread.
Thank you.
Hey @Gommie,
Thanks for writing in and I’m sorry to hear about your persistent issues!
Taking a few steps back, I want to make sure we fully understand your issue. Based on the thread so far, it seems like you’re having trouble opening Roon on your Mac, and connecting to your Nucleus (which runs your Roon Server). Is this correct?
I myself have a similar setup, where I use the Roon application on my Mac to navigate and play music from a separate machine running Roon Server. For me, and for ease of access, I have moved the Roon application to the dock bar at the bottom of my Mac desktop screen - it looks like this:
Once we get you back up and running, you can click and drag your Roon application to your dock bar on your Mac for easier access!
To confirm, are you able to locate your Roon app on your Mac? If you navigate to your Applications folder, do you see it there? To access your Mac applications folder:
You should be able to find ‘Roon’ - click it and open it. Are you able to connect to your Nucleus and use Roon at this point?
If you can’t, what do you see specifically? Take a screenshot if you can. To do so, you can hold the command+shift+4 keys to snap a screenshot of what you see.
With Macs, we often see small connection hiccups that occur due to the Mac firewall restrictions. Before digging into this deeper, a good test for this would be to temporarily disable your Mac firewall, and attempt to re-connect. Let me know if you’re able to try this, and what the outcome is.
We’ll be on standby for your results!
Dear Benjamin,
Sorry for the 5 days’ delay but I wanted to be absolutely sure.
Thanks for yor and Connor I have refound my Roon app. And it works!!!.
What you wrote about The minimac is true and annoying.
I didn’t know but it struck me that it sometimes takes a long time to “find the Server”, and that is my mac. I haven’t got another server, so I’ll try and remember your wise words.
Cheerio,
Gommie
I’m so glad to hear it @Gommie! Now the important part - getting back to your music! Happy listening!
