Description of Issue

How do I:

  1. Update ARC to the latest version?
  2. Stop radio play after my queue is empty?
  3. Make sure ARC is synched to my library? Recently I found it had not updated and had to reset it and reconnect.

thanks

  1. How do you quit ARC? The only way I’ve found is to Force Stop the app.
  1. Roon ARC update “should” show up in play store “Manage app & device”, however I had to uninstall and reinstall it when I was on an earlier version. So it may need that for yours too?

  2. On the queue screen there should be a Roon Radio toggle at the bottom of the screen.
It is “on” in the screenshot below.

  3. You might try dragging down from the top when in the “home” screen in arc to refresh the page?

  4. If you hit the “recent apps menu” at the bottom of your screen (next to the home button, you may need to swipe up to bring up the virtual menu from the bottom of the screen), then swipe the ARC window up to the top of the screen and it will be closed (or hit “close all” and all recent apps will be closed).

Thanks for the info. The app must have finally hit the app store because now I got the update option. And thanks for the tip on the queue. I discovered I had to first END radio, then the button shows up. task task, a hidden button.

As for stopping the app, it doesn’t go away when I swipe up or end all. It still shows up on the status bar when the phone is unlocked or on the lock screen. Here’s a screenshot. Probably some Andriod setting or another I figure.

Anyway, other than that, I’m good for now, thanks.

Those screens are what I see, when the music is paused and ARC is still running in the background.

I then go to the “recent apps menu” and see this:

I can tap and swipe the ARC window up to close it or hit “close all” and it and the icon in the top bar go away (shut down). This should “kill” the process thereby shutting the app down.
I wonder if you need to try reinstalling the app?

Right, those screenshots are after I opened the “recent apps” and swiped up. Here’s the full screen after closing the app. Note “no recent apps”, yet ARC isn’t close and I can continue playing.

As to reinstall, I’m getting a new phone in a few so it’ll happen then.
