Roon ARC App, can’t connect

Can’t connect to Roon Arc App when away from server ? iPhone shows 5 bars & on 5G, Also unable to connect on Apple car play, Roon Arc shows on screen ok but when selecting music the App just spins with txt “ loading “

Any advise appreciated unless I’m doing something obviously wrong :crazy_face:

Welcome to the forum. What model iPhone are you having an issue with? Is the issue the same when on WiFi as the same Roon Server or does it only occur on 5G? Is there any change if you try to delete and reinstall the ARC app from the App store?

Thanks for your reply, I currently have the iPhone pro max and I have deleted & re-installed the Arc App but still have same issue. This can occur on either 4G or 5G.
If I’m at home and near same internet I don’t have a problem connecting.

I’m just a Roon user.

Have you setup port forwarding in your router?

In Roon settings you’ll find a screen named ‘Roon Arc’. Does it say ‘Ready’? If not post a screenshot of the error message.

Thanks Menzies while looking at the port forwarding which you suggest I see you can also download an app on your phone & pc called Tailscale and this has fixed the problem, thanks so much for your input
