· I'm using a Pixel 9 Pro running Android 17, when clicking on the Arc media controls in the notification shade, the app doesn't open. Nothing happens. The app only opens when clicking on the app icon.
Android puts media controls in two separate places and they launch the app by different routes, so we need to know which one you are tapping.
One is the media player card that sits at the top of the shade next to your quick settings, with the artwork and the scrubber. The other is an ordinary ARC notification further down the list.
Could you please start playback in ARC, pull down the notification shade, and post a screenshot with the control you are tapping visible? A screenshot settles it faster than a description.
It would also help to know which version of ARC you are on, from the app’s settings.
We’ve discussed this with our senior QA and development teams. The team is investigating some possibilities here and, as soon as that investigation is complete, we’ll be sure to follow up ASAP.
You have our apologies for the trouble here, and we’ve greatly appreciated your patience as we continue investigating this tricky issue. We’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
Sorry for the delay here. Just to confirm, has the phone been locked at all before you interact with the media controls (even if you’ve unlocked it for the screenshot)?
Was ARC recently use, or did ARC fall into the background for a while after being swiped away?
