When I log into the Roon Arc App on my i-phone I get the following error message : "There's an issue with your Roon Server. Your Roon Server is online but there's an issue that's preventing access. Go to the Roon app for more information." And below that is: "x Disconnect from Nucleas+". I have had Roon Arc set up and working for over a year before this, although I had to call in some high level networking experts to get it working. I can play music through Roon normally, while I am at home. Sal Muoio
Describe your network setup
Music is stored on a Q-Nap on network storage device. We have 1-gig Verizon FIOS broadband. I think its a Verizon router. There is a Netgear - what I think is a switch, and eero wireless network throughout our apartment. There is also a Sonos system throughout.
Because the ARC error message in your screenshot specifically said,
Go to the Roon app for more information
And the Roon app > Settings > Roon ARC is the place where it shows certain kinds of ARC error information.
Does it not show any error there or do you not see how to post it here? If the settings page shows anything other than Ready, then copy-pasting a screenshot would help already.
I might be quite dense (as I tend to be with this kind of stuff) , but all mine says is “READY. Roon Arc can securely access your Roon Server”. There is no list of error messages or a place to post anything…
Ok, in this case the fact that it says „Ready“ is interesting in itself.
If there was a fundamental problem with port forwarding, there would be a box with an error message on this page.
At least it means that the network part of Roon Server works for ARC, i.e., it can be reached from the outside. This is good insofar as it rules out certain errors, even though it doesn’t tell us what the problem is.
I’m chiming in saying I had the same exact issue as Sal this morning. Roon settings says Arc is ready to access and reporting no issues, but Arc on iPhone gives the same error message. Rebooting the core and disconnecting/reconnecting Arc from the core does nothing. I had to delete the Arc app and then reinstalled it and now it’s working, so you might want to give that a shot Sal.
