Roon ARC app unable to find Roon server despite secure access (ref#Q355PA)

What’s happening?

· I'm having trouble with Roon ARC

· I can't log into ARC but I can log into Roon

Confirmed server is on Roon version 2.0. Confirmed Roon ARC can securely access Roon server. Yet, Roon ARC app (iOS 17.5.1) searches and cannot find my Roon server. iPhone is connected to same network as server.

The first thing I’d check is your windows firewall rules. Since your Roon Server is running via windows, what happens if you temporarily disable your windows firewall, are you able to connect?

Do you have any trouble using the Roon app on the same mobile devices?

Do you have the same issue when using cellular data vs wifi?

Thank you, Benjamin. I can be a bit of a technoidiot, so the solution wasn’t immediately apparent to me, I followed your tips and got it working. Disabled all firewall, which immediately enabled the Roon ARC to connect to the server. After restoring the firewall, I was then able to add the various Roon applications as firewall exceptions.
