Describe the issue

I have Roon and I want to use Roon ARC. However, I am getting the error attached in the photo. I have a GrandStream 7002 router and access points. I need help as the error in this is not letting me use ARC. It is not letting me use the ports. Could you please send me an easy guide as to how to connect. Thank you Zeryab

Describe your network setup

It is all GrandStream
We have a GrandStream 7002 and a switcher and access points. It supports UPNP however, it still doesn't work.

Hi, I’m not seeing any images in your post, can you please upload the screenshot.

Also from the Settings → Roon Arc menu in the Roon application, there is an option to copy the error text. Please do that and post here.

Doing this will enable Roon’s support to give you the best advice towards resolving this issue.

Example Screen from my system (in my case it details “status”: “status”: MultipleNatFound" which is why port forwarding does not work for me).

Hi @zeryabsetna,

Thank you for your post.

You can refer to page 113 here for instructions specific to the GranStream. This manual is for the 7000-series but should apply to your router’s settings as well:

The rule you’ll need to put in place for ARC will need to be TCP-protocol and match the port number and IP address in Roon Settings.

Due to the inherent complexity of port forwarding, we usually recommend Tailscale for users. If you’re using a Windows RoonServer machine, you can bypass port forwarding entirely by installing Tailscale alongside Roon and ARC on your server and phone.
