Roon ARC high power consumption (ref#C352SY)

Hey @maoravni,

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report!

Does this only happen when using Arc with your airpods? Does this happen over wifi as well as cellular data?

This may be a tedious ask, but do you experience this issue while using the production version of Arc as well, or only early access?

We’ve made a report to share with our Arc development team in the meantime, so I hope to have more information to share soon.

Roon ARC high power consumption

iPhone 13 Pro, OPRA and crossfeed on, Airpods Pro 2

This has been an issue for several weeks. I just never bothered to reach out to the discussion boards.
I’ve had my phone heating up with DSP off and with DSP on.
I don’t suppose its related to cellular/wifi signal, as the music was downloaded to the phone in advance due to poor cell reception on the train.

A search revealed there have been several threads complaining about this, but all were closed so I couldn’t add to them, and none were solved.

Hi @maoravni,

There are two active RoonServers in your environment, according to our diagnostics. Do you actively migrate your account between these two machines? Which RoonServer have you synced with ARC for the iPhone 13?

Hi @connor,

There’s mainly one, running on the docker. The other is rarely used and is for debugging only. Like this time when you start to claim that you don’t support docker and I have to spin it up.

(Not complaining. Merely stating a fact…)
