Roon Arc new releases random order 🙄

Hi Team Roon

Not the first time I’m going to be critical about Roon Arc and the fact new releases are all jumbled up with no means to sort by date of release.

I’m adding new releases via Qobuz, which does list them in date of release order.

So I go about adding them as favourites in Qobuz. Great.

Return to Roon Arc, pull to refresh the home screen in hope these would have synced at the Roon Server and show in Roon Arc. Nope.

Go to the albums screen, pull to refresh, nope.

How do I get Roon Server to manual sync my Qobuz library if I am away from home. I cannot remotely it would appear.

Luckily I don’t work away from home as much as I once did, but I’m still away from the Roon server for 12 hours each day and still enjoy music away from home whilst at work. For some folks they travel for work and are away from home for days, if not weeks.

I think the priority to;

  1. give Arc the capacity to organise new releases by date order.

  2. also give Arc the capacity to filter by genre in the new releases screen.

  3. give Arc the function to force Roon Server to resync with Qobuz/Tidal.

The appeal of Arc is wearing off very fast, more so if I am not able to use Roon Arc to quickly identify a new album release from my all-time favourites BabyMetal :grin:

In the full Roon, you get to choose from two sort orders for NRFY: by relevance and by newest (i.e. date order).

There’s no choice in Roon ARC at the moment, and the sort order is by relevance only…

Cheers @Geoff_Coupe :+1: and I use this when at home :wink:

Hence my feedback :wink:

I was mainly responding to your statement that in ARC, NRFY are in “random order”. They are not; they are listed in order of relevance to your musical listening…

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I’m aware it’s meant to be relevant :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
but it isn’t

80% of what I listen to is Rock/Metal - as I look at Arc I see none listed in NRFY

I also listen to about 20% jazz, blues, electronic.

Arc’s NRFY shows me folk, classical, choral and international, R&B, Rap and country :thinking:

OK, all I can say is that my NRFY is relevant for my musical listening - and exactly the same list in the same order appears in both my main Roon client and Roon ARC.

No idea why it isn’t working for you.

IIRC, it’s always been the same for me

The oddities of Roon that I’ll never understand

It’s never relevant to mine either so I can back up @Menzies here. It shows one album maybe that’s relevant the rest not so and are so old it’s laughable now.

I played Kids Bop Halloween last night for a few songs.

Now I get this :person_facepalming: top 6

I have Glee in mine! This was back when MrG used Roon which last time was back in March as I stopped using it from April to July and she has stuck with Spotify Connect since so doesn’t use Roon at all anymore.
