I can't access Roon ARC from outside my network. Roon says it can connect fine, but the app is not connecting from my iphone when not on my network (or when on my network). I have made sure upnp is enabled and have tried manual port forwarding and even tried changign the port number, restarting the router, etc. I'm using Unifi routers and access points with Verizon Fios modem.
Describe your network setup
Router is Unifi Dream Machine 4.3.6 There are multiple other Unifi devices The modem is Verizon I-211M-L The roon server connected via ethernet via unifie switches / access points.
I can see you’ve opened a similar topic recently where reinstalling the ARC app helped resolve the issue. Could you please confirm if you’ve tried that again in this case?
If reinstalling ARC doesn’t help, please share a bit more detail about your network topology — specifically:
Where your Roon Server is connected (which device and port).
What exact port forwarding or UPnP configuration you’ve set up on your Unifi router.
This will help us identify where the connection might be getting blocked.
Ah I forgot that’s how I solved it last time. Yes, reinstalling fixed it. This experience with Roon Arc has been frustrating. I hope your engineering team can resolve this reliability issue.
