Do you use Tailscale (or another VPN like wireguard or zerotier) to grant remote access to your local network?
If so then the ARC ‘Not Ready’ status reported by the Roon Client → Settings → Roon ARC page is irrelevant. This status indicator only relates to port forwarding and port forwarding is not required by Roon ARC when it has access to the Server’s local network (either directly or via a VPN).
Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support, and welcome to our community!
Based on your description, it sounds like you are using a dual-router setup. This often introduces a double NAT (Network Address Translation) issue, which can interfere with Roon ARC’s ability to connect properly.
Unless you can configure double port forwarding (once on each router) or set your personal router to bridge mode while forwarding the required ports on your ISP’s router, connectivity issues are likely to persist.
In such scenarios, the most reliable and straightforward solution is to use a Tailscale VPN, as suggested by @Wade_Oram. Tailscale helps bypass these network complexities and securely connects your devices without needing to reconfigure your routers.

This successful ARC connection makes me think that the @equalto is already using a VPN of some description.
If so, no more help is required. @equalto was just confused by the ‘Not Ready’ status in the Roon ARC settings page of the Roon client - which, with a VPN providing local network access, is not relevant.
It looks like you are on LTE in that screenshot and it says your RoonServer is last seen an hour ago, so I wonder if it could just be a cached page. What is the exact error that you are seeing in Roon Settings → ARC? Have you configured a port forwarding rule or are using Tailscale for the ARC connection?
