Describe the issue

Roon ARC works for a day fine then slows down progressively until it becomes unusuable and a reboot is needed in the Roon Server. Can you fix this? Using MacOS Sonoma

Describe your network setup

Using local wifi network, port forwarded.

It only works for one minute, once every 10 minutes, so I can only load two or three tracks before it becomes completely unusable for another 10 minutes, and so on. Let me know to buy the product or go to Plex.

I tested using Amphetamine, and it seems to keep the server alive. However, I don’t think it’s ideal since my entire MacBook has to stay awake. I thought Roon handled this on its own. If it’s not implemented, it should be implemented immediately.

Your machine running Roon has to be on when you use it, amphetamine is your answer. If you don’t want/need this then Roon is not suitable for your use case.

Not really, as you have to understand that a ‘server’ needs to be on in order to work…

A dedicated machine is what you might be after. Be that a - PC/Mac, repurpose a machine, or buy Roon’s device. Either way, there are plenty of options to be had.
