Description of Issue
Roon itself is working fine and when I check ARC settings I get the message “Ready - Roon ARC can securely access you Roon core”. However when I open the Roon ARC app I get the message “Poor connection - try again”, but when I do I just get the same message?
Do you get the message on wifi as well? Reset ARC from the settings screen in the ARC app, it usually helps. However you will lose all your album downloads in ARC, if any
Thanks for your response.
Yes, I did get the message on Wi-Fi too. Tried the reset in settings. It changed the Port setting from 40983 to 55002 but I still get the “poor connection” message?
I’ve been getting that every once in a while too. It seems like it could be a Tidal issue for me. Roon ARC won’t load an album on Tidal, but then I’ll play something from my hard drive or Qobuz through ARC and it’ll work fine. I go back to Tidal after a bit and it’s fine too. There have been a couple of times where nothing works, but for the most part it’s only Tidal material. Do you have a similar experience?
Thanks for your responses guys. Graeme, resetting didn’t work but deleting and reinstalling the app did! I’ve just moved my broadband to Sky and, contrary to what everyone told me, their router worked immediately with my music set-up and now, thanks to your help, I can use ARC too, which seemed to be a major problem with my old Draytek router. Thanks again.
