I installed the ARC app from the Google Play store on my Samsung A51 smartphone a while ago. It was working so-so until today, but now I am getting a "Time for an update" message from the app asking me to update my Roon Server. However My Roon server appears to be up to date. Can you help?
Lots of threads about this. If your versions are up to date (and you didn’t mix Production and Early Access), then this is fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the ARC app. However, this will delete the ARC downloads.
This is a bug affecting some people Roon is investigating this in another thread, so if you don’t wish to lose ARC downloads, you can wait and cross fingers that they will fix it
Roon ARC says Time for an update, but everything in my system is up to date. I am running Roon server version 2.0 build 1470. In Roon, the Roon ARC test says that Roon ARC can securely access my server. Roon ARC used to work fine on my iPhone, but not anymore! My wife's iPhone has the same issue. Both have been updated to the latest version on the App Store.
Thanks so much for writing in! @Suedkiez is correct in their statement above - have you tried removing and reinstalling Arc on your mobile device?
Prior to doing so, you can also add all your currently downloaded music to a playlist, and then have a faster turnaround time in regards to redownloading your prior downloads. Simply download the playlist you’ve made and you’re off to the races!
Hi @marc.escande,
Thanks for writing in to ask about this issue. I’m going to merge your thread with the other one that @Suedkiez mentions so that you will be able to track any updates.
