Has the status in Roon -> Settings -> ARC changed after adding exceptions in your firewalls and antivirus software for Roon?
ARC is still *Not Ready*

Describe the issue

I installed and configured Tailscale on my iPhone and Apple Mac Mini. When I load the Tailscale app on my iPhone it shows the iPhone and nucleusone are connected. When I open the Roon app on my Mac Mini and under Settings - Setup - Find Roon OS, then click the IP address of the Nucleus One server, it opens the Nucleus One Web Administration page and it says Tailscale is "OK". But when I load Roon ARC on my iPhone, iOS 26.2.1, Roon ARC says "There's an issue with your Roon Server".

Describe your network setup

- Make / model of the network devices: a Nokia Model XS-2426G-A provides fiber-to-the-home. It is a Passive Optical Network (PON) device. A Zyxel EX7710-BO router is connected to the Nokia. The Zyxel was provided by the ISP.
- How they are linked with each other - with Cat5E Ethernet cable.
- OS where RoonServer / ARC are running - macOS Sequoia 15.7.4

Hello @Jeffrey_Osborne1

And welcome to the Roon community!

It sounds like your Tailscale configuration is actually working correctly, especially since the Nucleus One Web Administration page reports the status as “OK” and your devices can see each other.

However, Roon ARC sometimes caches previous connection attempts or outdated certificates, which can cause it to report a server issue even when the VPN tunnel is active.

Could you please try a fresh install of the ARC app?

  1. Delete the Roon ARC app from your iPhone completely.
  2. Ensure your Tailscale app on the iPhone is opened and showing as Connected/Active.
  3. Reinstall Roon ARC from the App Store and log in again.

This process forces ARC to re-evaluate the available connection paths and should help it recognize the Tailscale tunnel immediately.

Please let us know if that clears up the error!

Hi @Jeffrey_Osborne1,

Have you recently migrated Roon Server betwee machines or restored a Backup? These can both cause the condition you’ve reported, since ARC stays associated with the unique identifier of the now-defunct server.

In any case, deleting and reinstalling the ARC app itself should resolve this problem. You’ll unfortunately need to re-download any tracks you’d saved locally on the phone in ARC.

Please let us know if you’re still having issues afterwards. Thanks!
