Roon ARC shows "Not Ready" despite successful remote access (ref#CVBFTI)

Network Setup

· I use my ISP's router alongside a personal router.

ARC Status

· ARC is *Not Ready*

Roon Error Code

· The ARC settings page says "Not Ready," but I can still connect to ARC via cellular data. I'm having another problem.

Describe the issue

I have downloaded and setup Tailscale properly. Both my Mac where the Roon Server is lodged is connected and my iPhone is connected in my Mac. I tested Roon ARC and it states "Not Ready", however, it must be connected because I can play music from the client and from my mobile device which is not connected to my local wifi network. Why is the message showing up if it is working?

Describe your network setup

ISP: Totalplay (Mexico), Network device: Lynksis Velop 4500, the Velop is bridged to the modem, it only operates as a passthrough. OS: macOS Sequoia 15.2.

Perfectly normal, arcs checks are for port forwarding only. Your ports are not being used when using Tailscale. That said given vpn is now a fully sanctioned method they should update this to include remote connection status over vpn as it does cause some confusion.

Thanks, guys. That makes perfect sense. It certainly would be a good idea for Roon engineers to take this glitch into account.
