Hello @J.A,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your question with us.

To help us identify exactly what is interfering with your setup, we need to check the diagnostic message that your Roon Server is currently reporting.

Could you please run a quick connection test and share the results with us?

How to check your connection:

  1. Open your Roon Remote app.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Roon ARC.
  3. Run the connection test (you may need to press the refresh/retry icon ).
  4. Take a screenshot of the entire diagnostic message it provides.

Once you reply with that screenshot, we will be able to pinpoint the network blockage and provide you with the exact steps to resolve it.

    Thanks.

Hi @J.A,

A quick scan of diagnostics shows that your internet service provider has likely implemented carrier-grade network address translation for your account (CG-NAT).

Unfortunately, port forwarding is blocked above the level of your local network. You’ll need to either:

  1. request a dedicated external IP address from your ISP

or

  1. set up a third-party NAT traversal method. We usually recommend Tailscale. Here’s a guide:

Please let us know if we can help. Thank you!
