Roon ARC unable to connect to Roon Server outside home network (ref#E3I7VD)

Roon Arc works when I'm at home on my home wifi network, but only the Cloud connects when i leave. Arc won't connect to Roon Server-- says port forwarding issue. My setup is I7, windows 11, asus rt-ax88u router

Please share a screenshot of the diagnostic error code from Roon Settings → ARC as @Rugby noted above. The team can use this to precisely diagnose the blockage.

If you only have a single router in your setup, then the most common culprit is that UPnP autoconfiguration has failed to set up a port forward in the router.

You’ll need to access your router settings page for the RT-AX88U. There should be a section labeled “Port Forwarding” or similar. Create a TCP rule pointing to the IP address and port number listed in the ARC page of Roon Settings.

If you still can’t access ARC outside your home network, then the blockage is likely at the level of your internet service provider in the form of CG-NAT.

If that’s the case, you might want to try Tailscale instead:
