Description of Issue -

What is the exact port forwarding error message you see in the Roon Settings → ARC tab?

Everything used to work, but now it doesn’t. I’m wondering if the Synology NAS changed something in its setup?

{
“ipv4_connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“170.aaa.bbb.ccc”,“actual_external_ipv6”:“null”,“router_external_ip”:“null”},
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“server_ip”:“192.168.50.1”,“found_upnp”:true,“error”:“doaction request return statuscode: UnknownError”}
}

I got it to work again by manually configuring port forwarding in the router.

Yeah, the error indicates probably some kind of UPnP service failure like here:

So a manual rule would work around that

It wasn’t the end of the story. When I tried to run the Arc app, it failed in my iPhone, my iPad, and Carplay.

This happened once before with Arc and at that time, I ended up deleting and reinstalling the apps.

So I tried it again and it worked. Before I deleted the apps, it was asking for my login information and after login I got a security email from Roon that a new login was in progress…but the app couldn’t find the Core.

After the new reinstall, the first screen after boot had my login information and I didn’t have to type it in.

And it found the core and all was well again.

I have many streaming apps and none are this finicky.
