Describe the issue

Roon has re-added +250 albums, and keeps adding albums every other day or so, no user is adding them. These are all Qobuz albums. We sort albums on recently added. These are all albums which were already in my library, but added months or years ago. Odly it seems, but diffucult to track, that these are albums of which songs have been played through Arc during a recent roadtrip. We listen to Arc by choosing shuffle all tracks, or shuffle all liked tracks.

Describe your network setup

I'm a Nucleus one user. It's up to date and has already been rebooted.

I don’t use ARC, but the same happened to me on Saturday. All Qobuz albums, some added years ago. About 44 albums, as far as I can tell.

A try to recover using my Friday database backup, but the problem didn’t solve itself.
Today I revert the database to my last backup, the problem is still there, but all the rest seems alright.

Setup:
Mac Studio M1 Ultra, macOS Sequoia 15.8
NAS: Western Digital My Cloud Expert Series EX2 Ultra 16TB
Roon Server version 2.53 (build 1544) production
Fiber Internet 200/100 megabit

Thank you Pedro for confirming I’m not delusional :-).

Same here. I haven’t used Roon for over a week, as I have been away from home (never use ARC). Rebooted the server yesterday and this morning I noticed 18 QOBUZ albums listed as ‘added yesterday’ I know these albums have been in my library for at least a year. It’s not a problem for me, but it may be an issue for other people.

Hello @Pedro_Cerqueira @bernardb50,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support. We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the Qobuz integration.

Since @Pedro_Cerqueira has a backup of the database from before the issue occurred, could you kindly provide us with that backup so our QA team can reproduce the issue and report it to R&D? Additionally please send us the screeenshots of the affected albums.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Locate your RoonBackups folder and zip/compress it (right-click → Compress…).
  2. Submit the resulting .zip file through our Database portal.

Once the upload is complete, please let us know so we can proceed with the investigation.

Thank you for your help!

Hi,
I always use Roon Album view, with all my Albums sorted by “Date Added” (this way I can always see my latest additions on top). I’ve used it this way for 5 years without issue.
All of a sudden, perhaps due to the recent version upgrade(?), there are a bunch of albums (20-30) that were added years ago that now pop on top and are shown as if they were added last week (when I was on hoiday, so there was no activity alst week).
I’ve restored from backup from couple of weeks ago, and this strange issue persists.
Is this a known issue?
I would be happy to manually edit this field, but don’t see where and if this can be done.
Otherwise, how can I fix and make these albums added years ago to be sorted in their proper order using this function?
I’m using Nucleus Titan and control via Mac/iPad/iPhone. I’ve updated to lasted roon version.
Thank you!

What are your Import settings set for?:

Qobuz albums? Someone else reported this too:

I’ve never edited those (didn’t even know they exited). Here are my import settings:

I don’t have any albums added that I didn’t have before. I just have a bunch of albums (say 20-30 of them) that now appear as if they were recently added althought I added them years ago. When I sort my albums by date added (my default view) these appear at the top, ahead of recently added music. That is the problem I’m trying to solve

Yes, same here!

Yeah, the initial description may be a bit off the mark. If you read on, you will see that the other people also had these albums in the library for a long time but now they appear as recently added.

What would be interesting is if the issue you experience is with Qobuz albums as well. If yes, then most of the Import Settings don’t matter at all.

I can confirm these are all Qobuz albums (61 of them to be exact). I also have Tidal and KKBox connected and none of the albums are from those services. So this latest release seems to have a bug relating to Qobuz date added to Roon. I hope it’s reversible!

@vadim any suggestion how to fix this?

Hello everyone

Thank you for your message. We noticed that the database backup requested before the issue occurred hasn’t been uploaded to our fileshare yet. Having this backup will help us investigate more effectively.

We understand your concern regarding the changes on the Qobuz side affecting specific albums. Collecting the backup is an important first step so we can pinpoint exactly what may have changed and work towards a resolution.

Please upload the backup when possible, and we’ll continue assisting you from there.

@vadim I have uploaded my backup folder

Hi @goldwerger ,

Thanks for sending that backup over, we’ve asked the QA team to look into this further and will get back to you once we have their analysis of this issue. Thanks in advance for your patience here. For others impacted by this, please feel free to upload your RoonServer / backups, let us know once uploaded, and a few example albums/titles that display this behavior. Thank you!

Thank you. Standing by.

So sorry for not replying sooner, I’ve been away from home.
After compressing the RoonBackups folder, I realized that the .ZIP file is 33.62Gb, should I upload it anyway?

Hello @Pedro_Cerqueira,

It looks like you have a lot of backups in that folder.

Would you kindly zip and attach explicitly the one backup which is created before the issue occurred
