I have a backup for my Roon data set up to backup every four days to an external 2TB SSD running on my desktop. It was working fine but now Roon has started telling me the backup failed because the SSD is full. There is 1.4 TB available on the SSD. My music files back up using Backup 4all to that same SSD every five days. The drive address is correct in Roon. What's happening?
How is the SSD formatted, NTFS, exFAT, FAT32, etc. What kind of operating system are you connecting it to? I noticed you have multiple Roon Servers, if you are connecting it to ROCK, it is possible that it wasn’t properly ejected last time it was used.
It’s an external SSD connected to my desktop which is a Roon remote. The desktop is on the same network as my Roon server which is an Intel NUC. The server is running ROCK and I think it’s formatted in exFAT but I’m not sure. I’m not sure what you mean by “not properly ejected” since the SSD is always running on my desktop.
Thanks for the follow-up and additional information. If you could, please reboot your Roon Server twice, and then attempt another backup, and share the date and time.
From there, our team will activate additional diagnostics to review further. We’ll be on standby for your reply!
I rebooted the server twice and ran a manual backup at 11:26 PDT on 16 Aug 2024. The backup appears successful. The next backup is scheduled in four days. We’ll see.
From your screenshot Roon isn’t finding the specified path for that folder. Is Ken-HP a different computer than your server is on? If so you need to add it through the “Add network share” button that you can see at the bottom of your screenshot.
