I was checking my Roon Backups folder. I have 10 total backups in the folder. When I right click the “backups” folder to see the "size’ it’s HUGE. This seems odd - see screenshot. 79.2 GB size on disk?? I’m also attaching a screenshot of my Roon front Library page. I know my library is big, but why the HUGE size of my backups. Is this normal? And since my maximum backups are 10, it stops with the 10th backup from October. Shouldn’t it notify me that any new backups aren’t being saved?
well, to be fair the actual size is really 20.4 GB. Your NAS is taking 79 GB to store those 20.4 probably because of the allocation size that was chosen. The backups are thousands of small files and if the minimum allocation size is big, well, you can take up a lot of space.
