Description of Issue

When I play a track and then play between 10 to 20 tracks from my local library (no streaming service active), I can consistently cause Roon to become unresponsive if I browse the album screen while playing a track and then press “On or Around” the BACK button on the top left of the Roon interface. After the Roon core becomes unresponsive I can still play tracks from my iPad or iPhone but not from the Core. The only way to get Roon working again is to force close.

I am on the latest Roon software ver. 1.8 (build 943) 64bit

Hey @Stephen_Chambers,

My apologies for the delayed response, sorry to keep you waiting. We had a few issues with button functionality about the time that you reported this. Are you still having these problems on the latest build?

Please let us know if so, I’ll be watching for your response and get back to you as soon as I can.

I haven’t seen it happen lately. I’ll keep trying to repo the issue. Hopefully that bug is squashed in the latest version.

Thank you for the update @Stephen_Chambers, happy to hear that our fix resolved the issue.

Ok it happened twice today. Seems to happen when pressing the back button while Roon is loading a track to play or an album’s page view. I do tend to browse my library quickly so I’m probably more likely to see this bug more often than other users.

Also when Roon is not responding on the Desktop I can still select my music content and control the Roon core from my iPad with no issue… hope that helps.
