Description of Issue

I don’t use Roon all that much, but have subscribed the past few years, since I thought it was the easiest way to stream Qobuz and TIDAL through my PS Audio Directstream, with Bridge II.

I absolutely love the quality that this DAC imparts to the music, especially the ethereal nature of the playback and will not switch to anything else, especially given the expense of the DirectStream.

And everything worked just fine, until recently.

Now, the core cannot find the DAC, no matter what I do, and I’ve been consulting with Connor, from Roon support, but, so far, despite his advice, I’ve been unsuccessful.

I’ve even tried to change the core from the iMac to the MacBook Pro that I’m typing this on, but the problem still exists.

In short: HELP!

Hi Carl,

Fellow user here, I hope I don’t ask repeat questions. Can any other software see the Bridge II?

If you use Fing to analyze the network, does it see the bridge on the network? If so, what IP address is it showing? Is that address on the same subnet as your.PCs running Roon?

Thanks, Dan.
Yes, it sees my iMac.
But, more importantly, I got it at least partially running by trashing, then downloading Roon.
Odd thing is, it’ll stream TIDAL but not Qobuz.
And the “metadata improver” has been paused. I checked the web connection, which seems to be fine and I do have the latest version of Roon. But in the interim, no cover art, etc.,
So, partial success, with some odd twists.
