I have an issue with roon on my client computer. When I start roon on my pc, I go to the ‘audio’ settings and there is nothing shown under the ‘This PC’ category. None of usual endpoints or the 2 USB attached DACs. The ‘This PC’ listing area has always been the first grouping of endpoints displayed, followed by my roon(NUC i3) server, then the listing of my streamers throughout the house. Some running ropiee, DiePi, VitOS, and so on. It’s as if This PC is invisible to roon. And this should not be related to what I have plugged in. Sure. it won’t show the USB DACs, but the HDMI ports should be displayed. Just like they are on the NUC server. I’ve pulled everything from my pc except my mouse and keyboard, and still nothing shows up under This PC.
I reinstalled rock on my PC and still nothing is shown under the ‘This PC’ category. Anyone else experienced this before? Ideas?
If Roon Server (ROCK?) is installed on the NUC, what is running on the PC? If you have installed ROCK on the PC, it has no GUI, so nothing would be listed for this computer under This PC when seen from another Roon remote.
Therefore, please share current screenshots, and confirm which device you’re using for Roon server.
Possible well known reasons for not seeing any endpoints are a firewall blocking access or an anti-virus software quarantined a needed file (blocking access).
roon is installed as a standalone server (Rock) on a completely different Intel NUC i3. My shop area is on another PC (This PC), 3 feet away where nothing is showing up. This is where roon client installed, as it is on other PCs I use. It has been working fine for years. I’ve never attached any endpoints directly to the roon server NUC.
I’ve seen other scenarios where my USB DACs where not being seen as well, but other HDMI endpoints were. They would eventually show up, but I never was ‘that’ scientific in my troubleshooting so can’t be specific about what fixed it. Endpoints on the network show up and work fine from my shop computer (This PC).
I think you may require assistance from Roon technical support, who can run diagnostics on your server.

After looking at the link, it dawned on me I had to have it on my private network. Sure enough, after checking my network it was set to public. I changed it back to private and all my endpoints under This PC had returned. Why it had been changed from private to public I’m not sure. Lesson learned - and hopefully remembered.
Happened to me recently as well. I think it was a Windows 11 update which changed the settings. All of the sudden my NUC and gaming laptop were both on a public network instead of a private one…
