After Mac sleeps, Roon from iPad and iPhone can no longer connect to Roon core. If Mac is woken up from the Mac keyboard, Roon works, and will stay working until Mac sleeps (at which time no iOS device will be able to connect to Roon core again). This just starting happening after updating to Mac OS 13.4.1
The point here is that a sleeping Mac severs the machine’s network access. If your Core is on a Mac desktop or laptop and it goes to sleep with network access limitations imposed, your Roon Remotes won’t be able to access Roon. Many Mac users over in #tinkering use a third-party app called Amphetamine to keep their network access online, for instance.
