Roon can't find my USB DAC after update

Hello,

I can not solve it by myself, so post here for solution.

My setup:

  1. Roon 1.3 build 196, win64 version
  2. Running Roon 1.3 on Windows 64bit pro
  3. Yoga 700 laptop with m3-6Y30, 4gb Ram, Kingston 480gb ssd
  4. Music over 20000 tracks stored in NAS(Qnap TS-451)
    Router IP: 172.20.1.254,
    Nas ip: 172.20.1.6(Roon core 1.3 build 196)
Laptop: Get IP with DHCP from server(Use Roon 1.3 for output and control)
    All wire connected
  5. AMI DS5 dac through usb 2.0 wire(A to B) cable to my laptop(usb 2.0 port), driver 1.057(newest)

Issues:
Use roon 1.2 with AMI DS5 before, and I can see AMI DS5(WASABI) and AMI DS5(ASIO) in setting section. After 1.3 update, I can not see anything. Whatever I reinstall driver or roon, it does not work. I think that roon 1.3 may conflict with my enviroment.
Any solution?

Dean

Hey @Yao_Chung_Chan – would you mind trying to disable any firewalls you have running and seeing if that has any effect?

Hi Mike,

It works. Thank you.

I thoght the local device isn’t affected by the firewall, but I was wrong.
How do I set the windows firewall running for Roon?

Dean

Answer the question myself.

Just accept Roon.exe and raatserver.exe pass through the firewall on public or private network (or both), and then you can find local devices with firewall running.
