Roon can't find Nucleus anymore

Roon Core Machine

Nucleus REV B Version 1.0 (build 227) stable

Description of Issue

After three months using the Nucleus,
all of a sudden Roon can’t find it anymore.
It keeps showing “Looking for your Roon Core”
I don’t understand what is happening.
The Nucleus is visable in the Router and I can Ping the IP adress.
Using advanced IP Scanner I can open the Roon OS and even open my Internal storage.
So the network part seems to be working.

I did powercycle the Router and the Nucleus several times.
I uninstalled and installed Roon again, nothing works.
I don’t know what to do anymore, please help if you can.

There are some screenshots attached.

That last screenshot of the Web Administration page shows a couple of items of concern. I think that the first thing to try is to reinstall the Roon Operating System by clicking the Reinstall button in that section.

Thank you Geoff_Coupe for the quick response.
It looks like that is not working.
I keep seeing the Updating and Reinstalling screen for 10 min. now.

It can take a while. I’d give it a bit more time.

I will give it a try

So, I got this reply. It is a bit strange because the internet connection is fine.

Have you tried rebooting the Nucleus after you got that error?

If rebooting does not help, then these errors are usually the sign of a failing SSD. The next step is to contact your dealer, or do an RMA if you bought the Nucleus direct from Roon Labs.
See the Warranty for the steps you need to take.

I did reboot and am sad to say it did not work.
Back to the dealer it is.
Thank you for your cooperation

Same thing happened to me last night. Nothing changed at my end. Willing to listen to logical explanations but I would guess it is the result of some unfortunate tinkering Roon is doing.

Correlation is not causation, as the saying goes… I’ve posted some diagnosis hints for you in your thread.

Just to let you know, I received the Nucleus back from the dealer.
They replaced the SSD and it works again.
Good call Geoff_Coupe, thank you for your help.
