Describe the issue

Ladies and Gentlemen:
I have a Nucleus and a lifetime subscription. My music collection is on a Synology NAS 1019+. Recently there was some kind of glitch resulting in the NAS being undetectable by my Mac Laptop pro, iMac, and two iPads. In correcting this the Synology tech wound up changing the IP address of the NAS. Originally it was 192.168.1.200 or 192.168.1.200:5000. This was changed to 192.168.1.167.
Now Roon cannot find the NAS. Going through the settings I cannot find any way to change the NAS address it searches for to the new setting. Likewise I have not found any useful help on line.
Please advise.
Thank you
David Kumpe

Describe your network setup

Router - Araknis AN110-SW-R24. Modem - Comcast

It should be in Settings (Gear icon here -

Then in Storage.

Then hit the three dots to the right and select Edit

Then from there you should be able to one of a couple of things:

  1. See if the Browse button allows you to get where you want to go. But it might not.

  2. If not, then exit from there, hit the three dots, and Remove that old source.

  3. Then, go back to Storage.

And select “+ Add folder” and browse from there. You will use the “Add Network share” button

…which will bring you here:

This is where you will specify smb://192.168.1.167/music and you must use the appropriate Username and Password.

Hello @David_Kumpe,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support.

Please follow the excellent guide provided by @DDPS and replace the IP address for the NAS in your Roon settings.

We also recommend assigning a static IP to your NAS in your router settings to help avoid similar issues in the future.

Let us know how it goes after that!
