Running on a 2009 Mac Mini with 10.9.5 Mac OS version and the latest Roon client (hopefully the screen shot of the Settings>About page made it above). I was trying to connect to an Ayre Codex that;s attached to this Mac Mini via USB, but the app gets stuck on “Enabling”. Not sure if this is because of how old the Mac is and the old OS version?
I was able to successfully connect from another Roon client on a Windows 10 box previously. And the DAC does show up in the MIDI app on the Mac.
Any ideas?
Update: Ugh, after posting this, I (re-)tried to update the version on ROCK (the update for which kept failing even after repeated attempts). After ROCK updated to the latest, I was able to add the DAC on the Mac Mini. Weird, I would not have guessed that there was a connection between ROCK s/w version and the Mac Mini client’s ability to enable a DAC. Sorry about the churn to the support team.
