For 120€/year app, they should have at least one Pixel or Samsung phone in the whole damn company!
They acknoledged the problem years ago, and from then complete radio silence, and such a big issue that affect so many of their paying customers. Seems new owner reduced engineering team a lot and just milking money out of it.
I agree that they should have typical models for testing and this should have been fixed.
Regarding the new owners, there were always complaints about slow fixes even before new owners. Some say it got better (and for sure they released a lot of fixes over the past year), some say it got worse (and for sure there are still many longstanding unfixed issues).
Without knowing internals or at least performing an actual analysis of bug numbers and fix rate, it’s all just conjecture that is colored by the particular issues one is affected by. (I’m not affected by this saturation bug and for me it certainly got better e.g. regarding consistent performance without random slowdowns. Someone with a Pixel who got suddenly hit by this issue might see it differently)

Pixel pro 10 user : Artwork and colors appear normal in Arc but so oversaturated and blown out in the Roon app. Artwork in the desktop app and other phones appear fine

This renders the app really hard to use.
I have a Samsung S22 and having the same issue as everyone: exagerated contrast and oversaturation on both light and dark theme.
I’m really astonished to see that this hasn’t been solved in years. I’m still in my 15 day trial period and this certainly doesn’t encourage me to renew the license.
I’m considering cancelling as well. It’s been years, shows to you how much they care about our experience.
I can’t believe this! I have been using Roon for 5 or 6 years now. I just upgraded my phone from a Pixel 8 to a Pixel 10 Pro and thought I was imagining things at first. No other app - including Roon Arc - has this issue! The colours look like someone has applied a ‘Colour Burn’ layer to it in Photoshop.
I am stunned to see the earliest reports were over 2 years ago. Roon product managers need to get their act together.
It’s as if no one on the Roon staff uses Google Pixels or Samsung Galaxys, nor has any quality control. Unbelievable, especially for a premium service like Roon.
Maybe we’re being unfair; you can’t expect them to test on all devices from every niche manufacturer out there

While the latest release did not contain a fix for this issue, this issue is an upcoming priority for the team and we expect to have movement on the associated ticket soon. We’ll post here as soon as we have an anticipated timeline to release or expect to include a potential fix in an Early Access update.
To summarize, some Android phones can encounter color saturation issues with Roon. This can render text unreadable against some backgrounds, impede navigation, and obviously detracts from the artwork experience.

Allow me to rephrase to avoid confusion. Exynos-based Samsung phones manifest the issue most often, but the chip is not the causal mechanism. This can occur on any phone running Android 14+. Either way, the fix will very likely affect all Android models.
