roon keeps on stopping - play just stops , or takes some time between tracks .
this has just started , over the last 2 days .
no changes to my system at all .
have unplugged every thing , no help .
this is very frustrating .
once , completely stopped , to many outages .
ckeck all in system are up dated . all end points are wired - no wifi
core set - background analysis speed - fast 4 cores - as it has been for the last few years
on demaand set fast - there have been no changes to system
also roon lost control of system comes up . - have to re set play -
i have a party to morrow nite , and roon is not working - not good at all , no playlist - or music going to keep on dropping out
You haven’t provided any information on what your Roon Server is running on, which would be helpful to the support team.
I note that you say that your background analysis speed is set to fast, four cores. After initial analysis has been done on your library, it’s best practice to set this to throttled.
The symptoms you describe are what I would expect to see when background audio analysis is being done with a fast 4 core setting - perhaps something has triggered Roon Server to do a full audio analysis scan of your library?

To confirm, are you seeing these failures over multiple streaming protocols?
If you haven’t yet, please safely stop Roon Server from running, and reboot both your Roon Server as well as your DAC/endpoint.
Let’s also refresh your RAATServer database settings -
You can generate a new RAATServer instance on your device by following these instructions, but please be aware that this will reset your Roon Settings → Audio Tab to factory settings and I would advise making a backup of any custom DSP settings you have:
- Create a Backup of your current Roon database
- Exit out of Roon
- Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
- Find the folder that says “RAATServer”
- Rename the “RAATServer” folder to “RAATServer_old”
- Restart the Roon App to generate a new RAATServer folder
