Roon continues to play after quitting the app

Hi,

I’m running Roon Remote on an M4 Mac mini to stream music over Ethernet to a Wiim ProPlus streamer, which is connected to my office speakers. My Roon Server is on a separate M1 Mac mini. I’ve noticed that music continues to play after I quit the Roon Remote on my computer. Should the music stop when I quit Roon Remote, or do I need to manually stop play on the WiiM?

Thanks.

Nope that is the way it works when controlling a zone/device with the remote app from another device.
If you are controlling another devices zone the music needs to be paused for the remote app to stop it. Then you can close the app.
If you control the zone that is on the device you are running the remote app on it will stop the music on that zone when you close the app. (in most circumstances, the exception may be if you are running a separate server process on the same device you are running the remote app on?)
If you are controlling the zone the Remote app is on it “should” stop playing when the app is closed.

Thanks! Before the WiiM, I was using an Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt connected to my computer, so I was used to Roon stopping playback when I put the computer to sleep, hence my confusion.
