Roon control on OS X does not start

When I start the latest version of the Roon control app on my MacbookPro the icon bounces just once but nothing happens. I have Roon core on an Intel NUC running Ubuntu that I can control from an iPhone with no problems. Is there any log file that I can look at? Should I just reinstall Roon on OS X?
