Roon core connectivity and playback issues with Eversolo and Marantz devices (ref#84K93L)

What’s happening?

· I am experiencing freezes or crashes

Describe the issue

Hi. I'm using Roon at home and in my office.
At home, using Mac mini M1 as my Roon core. And connect to Eversolo amp-a8. It was fine until Friday. But my Mac mini won't detect Eversolo a8 as Roon ready. It found my Chord Qutest when I plugged in directly.
I've tried turning on and off for my Mac, ever solo, hubs and pretty much everything.

And in my office. I am using Lenovo laptop (16GB Ram, CPU 11th gen, 2Ghz)as Roon core, and Marantz 30n as Roon ready device. but it sometimes freezes music and won't play, after couple of seconds, it would move to next song. and starts all over again. Do you have any suggestions to fix this problem?

Describe your network setup

At home, all wire connected. It starts out from iptime modem. One line goes to Deco for wireless router, and the other one goes to switching hub, I forgot the brand. From the hub, the lan cable goes to Mac mini, TV, and Eversolo.

Office, from main modem, direct line comes in to Tplink Deco. From deco direct connect to my laptop, but wire connection to marantz sacd30n.

Hi @chungch0211,

Please create one topic thread per issue. If you are migrating your RoonServer and license between two setups, we’ll need to troubleshoot each ecosystem individually. We can’t troubleshoot two separate network topologies at once.

Let’s troubleshoot the Mac environment in this thread.

RoonServer diagnostics list the Eversolo Amp-A8 as a detected networked endpoint available over RoonReady. It’s on the same subnet as the server. This suggests device discovery isn’t the issue, and a more likely culprit is the network security apparatus in the MacOS itself.

Have you verified that Roon has local network permissions in Privacy & Security → Local Network?

Please also make sure the MacOS firewall is configured to allow incoming connections to RoonServer.
